SDG 11

Pedestrian Priority on Campus at Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University (2024)

Promoting safe, environmentally friendly, and pedestrian-first transport to enhance campus life for students, staff, and the public.

Pedestrian Priority Initiatives

The university is a space dedicated to learning and shared community life for students, personnel, and the general public. Promoting a safe and environmentally friendly transportation system forms part of building a Green University and a Sustainable Campus.

A “Pedestrian First” commitment guides the design and management of the area. The approach is implemented through improvements such as:

  • Upgrading covered walkways to meet established standards
  • Providing adequate illumination along pedestrian paths
  • Installing speed limit signs and traffic-calming bumps

The objective is to grant pedestrians safety, convenience, and precedence over vehicles, cultivating a transportation culture that respects both life and the environment.
