Shared Sports Facilities Year: 2024

Sharing sports and exercise opportunities with the local community for better health and well-being

Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University spans 300 rai of land. The terrain features alternating high and low hills running parallel to the Mahachai mountain range. The campus offers diverse sports facilities, including a central field with a running track, a football pitch, a basketball court, a gateball court, and other amenities. A swimming pool, a convenience store adjacent to the field, and restrooms support regular exercise for faculty, staff, students, and local residents.

Facilities are routinely made available to external organizations, for example hosting sporting events for the 41st Military Circle Headquarters at Vajiravudh Camp; staging interschool competitions in Phrom District with 300 participants; providing space for the procession associated with the Mother of the Land Fund with 150 participants; and organizing the royal boat race with 500 participants.

Ample space for ongoing exercise has enabled students to develop proficiency across many sports, leading to selection as judges and event officials. Senior administrators—including the Chairman of the University Council, the President, and 50 staff members—have instituted a morning exercise policy, featuring a ninety-minute walk around the stadium before council meetings, setting an example of self-care.

With extensive, safe grounds for exercise and social activities, support for longstanding traditions, and a commitment to a green campus, requests for space for sports and other events have continued to rise. University spaces therefore remain a valuable resource for advancing the community’s physical and mental well-being.
