Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University has a Mental Health Service Center to provide mental health assistance to all students and staff. Staff members can receive life and mental health counseling from the Counseling Center, located at Building 39, Student Development Center. The center is open 24 hours a day, with consultations available during office hours (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM) on weekdays. Online consultations are also available 24/7. The university has widely disseminated this information to ensure that all university staff are aware of the services available.
Additionally, the university organizes recreational activities to promote physical health, mental well-being, emotional health, personal development, teamwork, unity, responsibility, and adaptability to changing situations. These activities also aim to enhance problem-solving skills and create a positive mindset. The following activities are implemented to support and maintain the mental health of staff:
“Aom Tour, Aom Jai” Activity was held on September 24, 2023, in the main conference room of Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, in an onsite format. The event had 2,150 participants and aimed to offer advice on relationships and improving mental well-being. Over 80% of the participants were highly satisfied with the program, and 87% reported that it had significantly helped them improve their attitudes towards relationships.
Mental Health Strengthening Activities Against Drugs were organized through the “To Be Number One” project. Due to the strong implementation of this project, the university received a royal award and was recognized as a model institution at the silver level in its first year. A total of 1,587 students and staff participated in this activity, with over 80% expressing satisfaction. The happiness index also increased by over 85%.
Happiness Market Activity was organized to encourage the display of exhibitions and performances that contribute to mental health promotion. The event also featured community products for sale, supporting income distribution to local communities.
Tanyarak Club Activities at Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University focus on both physical and mental health by providing breast cancer screening and guidance on care for breast cancer patients at different stages. This initiative has contributed to mental health promotion and helped reduce the severity of cancer. The project has engaged a total of 3,250 participants, and its results have been beneficial to the community, earning a national award, ranking second place.
