SDG 11.4.2 Promote sustainable commuting

Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University has implemented measures to promote more sustainable commuting within the campus and surrounding communities. The university has developed a master plan for an environmentally friendly campus transportation system. This includes promoting bicycle use by providing safe cycling lanes and secure parking spots throughout the campus. Additionally, the university operates a clean energy shuttle service within the campus to reduce private vehicle usage. There are campaigns encouraging students and staff to use public transportation, with the university coordinating with local authorities to improve routes and schedules to meet the university community’s needs. The university also promotes walking within the campus by enhancing pedestrian pathways to make them shaded and safe.
