\n Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University (NSTRU)<\/strong> \u2013 Providing Academic Access and Support to Local Farmers and Food Producers (SDG 2)\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n \n

\n Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University (NSTRU)<\/strong> serves as a knowledge and technology hub<\/strong> that transfers expertise to empower farmers and food producers in developing stable, sustainable careers. \n This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2): \u201cZero Hunger\u201d<\/strong>, specifically target 2.5.3<\/strong>, which focuses on facilitating farmers\u2019 access to academic resources and facilities. \n In the 2024 academic year, NSTRU collaborated with provincial and community development offices to open university facilities and laboratories for local farmers and food producers.\n <\/p>\n\n \n

Collaborations and Objectives<\/h3>\n

\n The university partnered with the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Agricultural Office<\/strong>, the Ranong Provincial Agricultural Office<\/strong>, \n and the Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Community Development Office<\/strong> to facilitate the use of facilities such as:\n the Plant Breeding Laboratory<\/strong>, Food Processing Laboratory<\/strong>, and Food Analysis Laboratory<\/strong> \n under the Faculty of Science and Technology. \n <\/p>\n

\n The objectives were to:\n

  • Provide farmers and producers access to scientific and technological resources;<\/li>\n
  • Transfer knowledge for local food processing and innovation;<\/li>\n
  • Support product quality development and certification (FDA, GMP);<\/li>\n
  • Foster sustainable community-based food innovation.<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n \n
