\n Household food security<\/strong> remains a critical issue, particularly among vulnerable populations such as \n people with disabilities in rural areas<\/strong>, who face limited access to employment and agricultural resources. \n As a higher education institution with a mission to support local development<\/strong>, \n Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University (NSTRU)<\/strong> has implemented initiatives throughout 2024 \n to enhance food security and sustainable agriculture<\/strong> through scientific, technological, and agricultural innovations. \n <\/p>\n\n

\n The program aims to empower local communities by providing the knowledge, skills, and technology required to achieve \n food self-reliance<\/strong> and improve the quality of processed food products for wider market acceptance. \n <\/p>\n\n \n

Program Objectives<\/h3>\n

  1. Empower people with disabilities and local households with knowledge and skills<\/strong> in sustainable food production for household consumption.<\/li>\n
  2. Develop integrated household models<\/strong> for livestock raising and crop cultivation that can be expanded within the community.<\/li>\n

    Program Implementation and Activities<\/h3>\n

    \n The initiative was conducted in Sa Kaeo<\/strong> and Klai subdistricts<\/strong> of \n Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province<\/strong>. \n Workshops and training sessions were organized for people with disabilities and their families to learn \n practical skills in:\n <\/p>\n

    • Raising egg-laying chickens<\/li>\n
    • Vegetable cultivation and freshwater fish farming<\/li>\n
    • Feed management using local ingredients<\/li>\n
    • Making organic fertilizer from household waste<\/li>\n
